Ghana Premier League Champions Wa All Stars suffered a set back in their first ever continental match played at the Tamale Stadium on Sunday.
The Blues lost 3-1 at home to Lybian side Al Ahly Tripoli to give themselves and uphill task in the return leg to be played next weekend in Tripoli. Ali Tango, Muaid Ellafi and Mohammed Salto scored for the Lybian side with Emmanuel Ocran getting the consolation goal for All Stars.
Bechem United however beat MC Algiers 2-1 at the Accra Stadium on Sunday to brighten their chances of making it to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup qualification stage.
The two Ghanaian teams will travel within the week to Tripoli and Algiers respectively for their return leg matches.
