Ampem Darkoa end Hasaacas Ladies league winning run

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have ended Hasaacas monopoly in the National Women's League after winning this year's Championship play-off by a lone goal.

Grace Asantewaaa got the winning goal for the Northern Zone table toppers in the match which was played at the New Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

The game which was a repeat of last year's play off, saw the Techiman side getting a sweet revenge over their Southern Zone opponents who won the last two editions on back to back.

The game preceded the final match of the 2015/16 MTN FA Cup competition which was scheduled to kick off at 6:30pm at the same venue. 

After the competition,Ampem Darkoa's Priscilla Adubea emerged as the top scorer of the women's leaguewith 16 goals with her teammates Grace Asantewaa and Evelyn Yeboah also named best player and best goalkeeper respectively.
