GFA warns against illegal streaming of Kotoko vrs Hearts

The Ghana Football Association has warned all those who are illegally streaming the Premier League match between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in Kumasi to immediately discontinue, or be slapped with a suit.

Below is the full statement issued by the GFA.

STATEMENT: WARNING TO ALL THOSE ILLEGALLY STREAMING HEARTS VRS KOTOKO LIVE

The attention of the Ghana Football Association has been drawn to the illegal live streaming of the on-going Ghana Premier League match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Streaming the matches live through any channel without authorization from StarTimes, the official broadcast right holders of the Ghana Premier League, is in serious breach of broadcasting regulations, as well as the GFA's agreement with StarTimes.

The GFA has taken note of the individuals and media organizations streaming the match live on their social media handles, and seriously warns them to immediately discontinue the fraudulent live streaming of the on-going match.

The GFA will take legal action against those who do not heed to this caution and proceed to stream the second half of the match live.
