Black Starlets through to African Championship finals

Ghana progressed into the Final of the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017 following   a 6-5 penalty shootout win over Niger at Stade de port Gentil on Wednesday.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin  has named his starting eleven for Ghana' s U17 final group match against Guinea in Libreville.

Ghana are the first African nation to reach the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 after easing their way into the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals on Wednesday. 

The National under 17 Male football team, Black Starlets arrived in Libreville, the capital city of Gabon on May 5,2017 for  their final preperation towards the  Total U17 Africa cup of Nation Gabon 2017 which kicks off on May 14 to 28.

Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Asiamah will visit the national under 17 football team, the Black Starlets at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Friday ahead of their departure to Gabon.

Head Coach of the national under 17 football team, Paa Kwasi Fabin has named a provisional 25-man squad for the upcoming Africa Under 17 Championship in Gabon. 

The National Under 17 team, the Black Starlets will face their Nigerien counterparts in a double header international friendly in Accra next week.

The national U-17 team will play friendly matches against Tanzania and Niger as part of preparations for the African Youth Championship (Gabon 2017).

The Black Starlets of Ghana have been drawn in the same group alongside hosts Madagascar, Guinea and Cameroon of the 2017 African  U-17 Championships.

Ghana's Embassy in Ivory Coast had a lunch buffet in honor of the Black Starlets on Sunday October 2 after their goalless draw with the young Elephants which saw them qualify to the 2017 African U-17 tournament.
