Continental opponents for Aduana, Kotoko announced

Aduana Stars FC and Asante Kotoko SC will face Libyan and Congolese opponents in their respective CAF Inter Club competition opening matches.

Ghana Premier League winners Aduana Stars have been drawn against El Tahadi of Libya in their CAF Champions League tie whiles MTN FA Cup winners Asante Kotoko will face 9-time Congolese champions Athletique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA) in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.

This was revealed after the draw for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Interclubs 2018 was conducted on Wednesday December 13 during a meeting of the CAF Inter Clubs Committee at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Aduana will have to travel for the first leg game between February 9-11 before hosting their Libyan opponents for the return encounter between 16-18 February.

Kotoko will also host their Congolese counterparts in the first leg tie between 9-11 February, 2017 with the second leg set for 20-21 February,2018.

Aduana will face El Setif of Algeria or Olympic Real de Bangui of Central Africa Republic if they advance to the next round with the Porcupine warriors also set to face Tunisian side Ben Guerdane or South Sudan’s Al Hilal Juba should they advance to the 2nd round of the preliminary round.
