Thomas Teye Partey hat-trick and Richmond Boakye Yiadom's brace gave Ghana a 5-1 win over Congo in their World Cup qualifier played in Brazzaville on Tuesday.
Boakye got the opener for the Black Stars in the 23rd minute before Partey doubled the the lead for coach Kwesi Appiah's side after three minutes.
The Congolese however pulled a goal back after Illoy Ayyet headed in from a corner, but the Stars restored their two-goal lead after Partey fired home for his second of the game right before half-time.
Partey grabbed his hat-trick with his 69th minute goal in the second before Boakye Yiadom hit the back of the net again with just 5 minutes to full time.
The win takes the Black Stars to five points on the group log with Ghana hoping to brighten its chances of making it to the next World Cup based on the remaining qualifying matches.
