Black Satellites suffer first leg defeat to Senegal

Ghana's U 20 side suffered a 3-1 defeat to their Senegalese counterparts in their African Youth Championship qualifier played in Dakar on Saturday.

Coach Mas U Dramani's side were seeking a positive away result before the  return leg which will be played in a fortnight but striker Niang's brace and the third goal have given Senegal an advantage despite Osabutey's consolation goal.

The result means the Black Satellites will now have to replicate their splendid performance which saw them overturn a 2-1 defeat to a Ethiopia in the game played in the last round of the qualifiers.

The team is expected to arrive in Ghana on Monday as they begin preparations for the second leg.
