Black Stars B to arrive in Accra on Sunday after draw against Burkina Faso

The Black Stars will arrive in Accra on Sunday morning after being held to a 2-2 draw by their Burkinabe counterparts in their African Nations Championship match played in Ouagadougou.

Ilasse Sawadogo scored 84th minute goal for Burkina Faso to hold Ghana Black Stars B to a pulsating 2-2 drawn in a crucial first leg of CHAN qualifier played in Ouagadougou on Saturday.

The game started in a whirlwind fashion with the host attacking in droves.

The defensive network of the Ghanaians woven around Musah Nuhu and Awal Mohammed at the centre and supported on the flanks by skipper Daniel Darkwah and Amos Frimpong repulsed all the raids of the Burkinabes.

After the initial scare, Black Stars took charge of the game with delightful passes in the midfield controlled by Winful Cobbinah.

At the same time, Patrick Razak kept terrorising the Burkinabe defense with his lightening speed.

In one of his maurading runs, he was whacked down on the edge.

winful Cobinnah's teaser from the resultant free kick created pandemonium in the box, forcing Zongo Abdoulaye to handle the ball.

Referee Issa SY who was close to the scene whistled for penalty which was converted by Sadick Adams in the 14th minute.

The Stars held on to the solitary goal till the end of the first half.

The Burkinabes started the second half on a strong note and deservedly got equaliser on 57th minute through Sylla Mohammed.

Black Stars quickly restored the lead when Cobbinah combined beautifully with Waja and the latter slotted home ten minutes later.

The Ghanaians looked like winning until substitute Sawadogo pounced in the equaliser with six minutes to the end proceedings.

Black Stars will host Burkina Faso in Kumasi on Sunday 20th August, 2017. *
