51 players enter final U-15 screening as Ghana steps up for FIFA U-15 World Cup preparations
The final screening exercise for Ghana’s National U-15 Boys Team will take place from August 16–22, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, as preparations intensify for the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan, scheduled for October 2026.
A total of 51 promising young players have been selected for the decisive phase of the talent identification process after emerging from an initial pool of 108 players who assembled for the exercise when the programme began on July 17, 2026.
To allow the technical team to conduct a comprehensive assessment of each player, the 51 youngsters have been divided into two batches of 26 and 25 players respectively.
The first batch will report to camp on Sunday, August 16, and remain in camp until Wednesday, August 19, under the supervision of Head Coach Salifu Fatawu and his technical team.
The second batch will report on Wednesday, August 19, following the conclusion of the first batch’s assessment, and will remain in camp until Saturday, August 22, when their screening exercise is expected to conclude.
The final phase will provide the technical team with an important opportunity to assess the players more closely, with particular attention to their technical ability, tactical understanding, physical attributes discipline and overall potential.
The exercise forms a crucial part of Ghana’s preparations for the historic FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan, where the country will seek to showcase its emerging football talent on the global stage.
