Kpando Heart of Lions have taken a commanding lead in Zone three of the Access Bank Division One League after securing 23 points – resulting from 7 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats in the ongoing campaign.
Their two defeats came against Golden Kicks and A5 Rences FC on Match Day nine and ten respectively.
The former Premier League side have been a handful for clubs in the Zone as they hold a four-point lead at the summit of the table in Zone three. With four matches left to end the first round of the season, their outstanding form in the season especially at home will be under scrutiny when they take on Uncle T United at the Kpando Park on Sunday.
Uncle T United have amassed a paltry twelve points from a possible 33 and sits in 12th place in the League log but are always a tough customer for Lions. A win for Heart of Lions would do their League pursuit a lot of good as the season is few games away from reaching the halfway line.
Former Premier League sides, Tema Youth SC and Dansoman Liberty Professionals will slug it out at the Tema Park in another tough duel on Sunday.
The Harbour Warriors are at the base of the Zone three table with -13 points while Liberty Professionals who twice missed out on promotion last season occupies the 4th spot with 17 points.
Resurgent Akosombo Krystal Palace will also play at home to Nania FC. Below are the fixtures for Zone Three:
