League leaders Heart of Lions survived a first scare to beat Uncle T United 2-1 on Matchday 12 of the Access Bank Division One League. John Kofi Mensah grabbed the opener for Uncle T United in the 38th minute but Abdul Razak Abdullah levelled matters for Lions on the stroke of half time as he combined with a team mate to smash home. The zone’s top scorer Samuel Aryeetey scored his 6th goal of the season to send the home crowed inro a frenzy.
Godfred Kingsley Atuahene was the hero as Dansoman Liberty Professionals pip Tema Youth SC 1-0 at the Tema Park to move up to 4th in the League log with 20 points. The teenager made the difference in the 23rd minute as the Scientific Soccer lads recorded their 5th win of the season after 12 matches.
Earlier on Friday, Reginald Thompson and Augustine Awuah got on target as Attram De Visser drew 1-1 with Tudu Mighty Jets at the Tema Park. The home team took the lead in the 27th minute before Awuah equalized for Mighty Jets in the 83rd minute.
Second placed Koforidua Semper FI also recorded a slim victory over Volta Rangers 1-0 in an away encounter with Barnabas Ahiamadjo grabbing the winner in the 61st minute.
There was another 1-1 draw between Akatsi All Stars and A5 Rences. Bright Sedor converted from the spot in the 26th minute for All Stars but were denied by Teye Mensah who scored in the 40th minute to earn his side a vital away draw.
