Baba Hamadu Musah grabbed a brace as Andrews Cobbinah netted another for Skyy FC in their 3-0 win over WAFA in the Access Bank Division One League. The Zone two leaders went into the fixture with a one-point lead at the top of the table and dared to make it count as closest contenders Nations FC hosted Pacific Heroes at home.
Baba Hamadu opened the scoring for Skyy FC in the 20th minute before Andrew Cobbinah doubled the lead one minute later. Striker Baba Hamadu grabbed the third goal for Skyy FC – his second of the day in the 76th minute to settle the scores for the home side. The win takes Skyy FC to 28 points – 3 points ahead of second place Nations that drew 1-1 with Pacific Heroes.
Swedru All Blacks were simply unstoppable against Asokwa Deportivo as they romped to a 3-0 win at the Agona Swedru Park. Prince Gamor scored the first goal on the 22nd minute before Junior Yussif scored a second half brace in the 55th and 72nd minutes to win the game for the home team.
Meanwhile former Premier League side Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs, snatched a late winner to beat Soccer Intellectuals 1-0 at the Robert Mensah stadium. Kojo Amugi netted in the 68th minute goal to give Ebusua Dwarfs all the points in the derby.
