AshantiGold picked their first defeat of the season and at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday after losing 1-0 to 10-man Aduana Stars.
A 55th minute goal by Alex Aryee sealed the win for Aduana who jump to third on the Glo Premier League standings.
Coach of AshantiGold, Yaw Acheampong utlised all his options on the bench but the failed to break Aduana down.
Despite the Miners' hopes of equalising Aryee's goal proving futile, they were handed a numerical boost when in the 90th minute, substitute Robert Aryeetey, who came on for the goalscorer was shown a red card by referee Jonathan Tetteh.
Four minutes of added-on time was still not enough for AshantiGold to at least claim a share of the spoils.
