Aduana Stars missed the chance to hold onto top spot after losing 1-0 away to New Edubiase on Sunday in the Glo Premier League.

The defeat at the Gyamfi Park sees Aduana slip to second on the standings, one point behind new leaders, Medeama who were 3-1 winners over Hearts of Oak.

A 40th minute goal by Ebenezer Ofori handed Edubiase all three points and sent Aduana back home with nothing.

Edubiase now move to the 10th position, four points clear of the relegation zone ahead of the final matches for the first round next weekend.
