All-Female CAF Licence ‘C’ Coaching Course underway at GFA Technical Centre

The Football Association today opened the All-Female CAF Licence ‘C’ Coaching Course at the GFA Technical Centre, Prampram bringing together 30 aspiring and active female coaches from across the country.

The opening ceremony marked an important step in the GFA’s commitment toward developing and empowering more female coaches within the game.

The programme is being organized in collaboration with FIFA Women's Development through the Coach Education Scholarship initiative.

Participants will undergo intensive technical and practical training designed to enhance their coaching knowledge, leadership skills, player development methods, and understanding of the modern game.

The opening was graced by the Women’s Representative on the GFA Executive Council, Dr Gifty Oware Mensah among others.

Speaking at the opening session, GFA Women’s Football Development officer, Jennifer Amankwa Sarpong emphasized the importance of increasing female representation in football coaching and creating more opportunities for women to excel in technical roles within the sport.

The course also forms part of the Ghana Women’s Football Strategy aimed at strengthening the foundation of women’s football and building a sustainable pathway for future female coaches and leaders.
