Premier League Champions, Wa All Stars have won the Super Cup after beating Bechem United 1:0 in Tamale.

The only goal of the match was scored by Emmanuel Ocran in the 6th minute to hand All Stars their second major domestic silverware in four months.

They won the Ghana Premier League for the first time last season, and as Ghana's representatives in the CAF Champions league, this win will be a morale booster ahead of the competition as well as their league title defence, which starts next month.

The Super Cup, between winners of the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup winners, traditionally heralds the opening of the season, and this encounter officially opens the 2016/2017 season.
