Andre Ayew helped holders Olympique Marseille to a 2-1 win against Monaco and a place in the French League Cup semi-finals on Wednesday.

The Ghanaian midfielder drew Marseille level after the visitors had taken the lead in the 22nd minute through a penalty.

But three minutes before the break, Marseille's probing was rewarded when Andre headed home from a cross.

Marseille scored the winner through Cesar Azpilicueta on the hour mark at the Stade Velodrome.
