Kwesi Appiah has been watching his players' application to training in Abu Dhabi with excitement but the Ghana coach has some thinking to do as he rounds up on his final squad announcement.

The Black Stars will hold their final training session in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning before Appiah announces his final squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

With a 24-member squad showing good competition for places, the problem is a much happier one for Appiah as he goes into Tuesday's training session at the Zayad City Sports Complex.

"Training has been tough," Appiah told www.ghanafa.org.

"I am very happy with how all the players have trained since we arrived here on Saturday morning."

Appiah has held five training sessions since arriving in the Gulf region on Saturday morning. Though only one player will miss the cut, every member is pressing for a place in the final team.

Ghana will submit its final 23-man squad for the tournament by Wednesday's deadline.

The Black Stars have two friendly matches coming up against Egypt and Tunisia during their stay in the UAE.

Ghana will play DR Congo, Mali and Niger ahead in Group B of the tournament in South Africa.
