Kwadwo Asamoah hopes to make a big impact for Ghana against Mali as the two nations clash in a crucial 2012 African Cup of Nations game.
The attacking midfielder who sat out the opening Group D game is expected to see some match action at the Stade de Franceville when the two sides meet.
Asamoah, who scored for Ghana in the run up to the 2010 World Cup against Mali says he would relish the chance to play a part.
"I have been in the team for a long time and this is not my first time that would I be coming in. I have played against Mali before and I know what they can do and what I can do as well," Asamoah said at Thursday's pre-match press conference.
With a quarter-final berth on the brink, either side are confident of sealing their spot in the next round even before the last group game. But Asamoah does not feel the pressure as he prepares to make his first start.
"I think I don’t feel any pressure. It happens in every player’s career that you play sometimes and miss out too.
"I would make use of my qualities to help the them," he said.
