Ashantigold's quest for a first Premier League title in early two decades was boosted by a massive home victory over Medeama FC at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
Ashantigold came from a goal down to beat Medeama 2:1 in the tight encounter.
The visitors stunned their hosts with an early lead through Kwesi Bonsu in the 7th minute but Ashantigold hit back in the 32nd minute through Didier Kore.
Medeama held on to the draw to make things difficult for the league leaders, but with ten minutes left on the clock, Asantigold were awarded a penalty and Didier Kore maintained his composure to fire Ashantigold into the lead, which also turned out to be the match winner.
Ashantigold have now extended their lead on the table to 3 points with 3 games left.
