David Duncan tasted his first defeat in charge of Hearts of Oak and it came at home to his former side, AshantiGold on Sunday.

The Miners pipped the Phobians 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium as both sides finished the game with ten men.

Aaron Amoah scored the only goal after 29 minutes as the Phobians failed to draw level.

But 24 minutes into the second half, the Miners had David Telfer sent off after he picked his second booking.

The Phobians with numerical advantage pushed for the equaliser but as their struggles continued, they saw Nuru Suley shown a straight red card with four minutes remaining.
