Two goals in either half of the game at the Sekondi Stadium handed AshantiGold a 2-0 away victory over Wassaman.

A first half penalty scored by Didier Kore in the 26th minute and a 72nd minute goal by striker Mohammed Yakubu lifted the Miners to 8th place.

Wassaman have now slipped to a place from bottom as the defeat makes their fight to escape relegation look increasingly difficult.
