The result is massive blow to the Phobians' chances of moving top of the standings after rivals and leaders, Asante Kotoko were defeated in Kpando on the same day.

A second half goal by Shaffiu Mohammed handed AshantiGold all three points as they Miners still remained the only unbeaten side in the competition after nine matches.

AshantiGold have now moved second on the log as the Phobians drop to third following their second loss of the season.
