Liberty professionals put up an impressive performance at home to record their first victory of the season when they beat BA United 2-0 at the Car Reindoff stadium Wednesday.
Former Ghana U-20 star Kennedy Ashia’s brace was enough to hand coach George Lamptey’s side all the three points to see them move up the league table.
After losing their first away match of the season to Hasaacas, Liberty appeared the more determined side to score from the blast of the whistle.
But B.A. United’s solid defence proved very difficult for Liberty, leading to a barren scoreline.
The home side returned from the break stronger and finally broke the deadlock when Ashia’s 62nd minute effort beat Osei Lawrence in post for B.A.
The result takes Liberty to 8th on the League table ahead of their third match of the season against Tema-based Inter Allies.
