The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association has temporarily closed down the Baba Yara Stadium to all matches involving Asante Kotoko with immediate effect.

This follows incidents of missiles throwing onto the field of play after the final whistle of Kotoko's First Capital Plus Premier League match with Heart of Lions on March 26, 2014.

"The decision is in accordance with Article 15 (2) of the GFA regulations which states that the GFA may order the closure of any league where it is satisfied that the safety of match officials, spectators and players cannot be guaranteed," a GFA statement said.

The Disciplinary Committee have been directed to hear the case in accordance with the Regulations of the Association.
