Bashir Hayford's career at Medeama was further prolonged on Wednesday after his side beat AshantiGold 1-0 on Wednesday at the Len Clay Stadium.

The Medeama coach who has been facing the sacking following a three-game winless run will now breathe easy as the result keeps his side in second place, one point behind leaders, Aduana Stars.

Hayford was saved on the day by Otuo Acheampong's second minute goal that condemned the Miners to defeat.
