Basic schools in Sunyani Municipality welcome Football4Girls Initiative

The football4girls project recently expanded to basic schools in Sunyani, with the Technical Directorate and Ghana Education Service successfully launching the initiative at Ridge Experimental Cluster of Schools.

Key stakeholders in attendance included the Regional Physiacl Education Coordinator Osei Koranteng, Stephen Kyeremeh Ahenkang - Sunyani Municipal Physical Education Coordinator, Edwin-Nancy Glover Women's Committee Chairperson for the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association, head teachers, teachers, and staff from selected basic schools in the Sunyani Municipality.

This project aims to uncover hidden talents in basic schools, empowering every girl to play football confidently and pursue their goals without limitation. During the launch, participants engaged in physical exercises and informative sessions to grasp the project's objectives.

Additionally, Jennifer Amankwaa Sarpong, Head of Women's Football Development, and representatives from the Regional Football Association visited the Ghana Education Service's Sunyani Municipal Office to outline the Women's Football Strategy. This collaboration seeks to promote and develop Women's football in the Brong Ahafo Region.
