Ghana would host Guinea in an international qualifier as the women’s Under-19 team; the Black Princesses attempt to secure qualification for their debut FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
The game is the first leg of the preliminary game of the FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup qualifier at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Sunday, January 13, some seven days before the start African Cup of Nations which would also see teams from the two nations play the opening game at the same venue.
Africa has two slots at the World Cup to be hosted by Chile which comes up between December 30, 2008 to January 17, 2009 as sixteen countries across the continent begin the qualifiers this weekend.
And Ghana coach, Mumuni Gamel who has been preparing his team in Accra remains confident of the team’s chances on Sunday.
Sunday’s game which kicks off at 15:00 GMT is the first round of qualifiers for the 2008 World Cup.
A win for the Black Princesses over the two-leg tie would hand them another tie with the winner of the Lesotho - Botswana game in the first round later in April.
