Black Queens Head Coach, Kim Lars Björkegren has named a 25-player squad for the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The squad comprises a blend of experienced internationals and exciting young talents who have impressed throughout the team's preparations, including training camps and international friendly matches.
Captain Portia Boakye headlines the squad, alongside the likes of Grace Asantewaa, goalkeeper Cynthia Findiib Konlan, Jennifer Cudjoe, Doris Boaduwaa, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and a host of other players expected to play key roles in Ghana's campaign.
Sharon Sampson of Petea IF, Abena Anoma Opoku of East Bengal FC and Black Princesses prodigy Linda Owusu Ansah also made the squad.
The announcement follows weeks of intensive preparations ahead of Africa's biggest women's football competition.
The 25 players will now shift their full focus to the tournament as Ghana aims to make a strong statement at WAFCON 2026 and compete for continental honours.
