Ghana's Black Satellites will conclude their preparations for the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship with a friendly match against Division One League side Semper Fi on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kick-off 2pm local time.

The encounter will serve as the team's final test before departing for Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire, where they will compete in the regional championship under the guidance of head coach Maxwell Konadu.

After weeks of intensive training, the Black Satellites are entering the final phase of their build-up, with Konadu and his technical staff eager to fine-tune tactics, assess player combinations and ensure the squad is fully prepared for the challenges ahead.

The team continued its preparations on Wednesday with a rigorous training session at the University of Ghana Stadium Annex B, where the coaching staff focused on sharpening both the tactical and physical aspects of the squad ahead of the two-week tournament.

Thursday's friendly against Semper Fi provides the technical team with a crucial opportunity to evaluate the players in a competitive setting before naming the final squad and making the journey to Côte d'Ivoire.

Ghana have been drawn in a tough Group B, where they will begin their campaign against fierce rivals Nigeria before facing Burkina Faso and Togo in what is expected to be one of the tournament's toughest groups.

The WAFU B U-20 Championship serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which Ghana will proudly host.
