The National Under-17 side, the Black Starlets will take on Burkina Faso in the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship.

The Black Starlets had to wait until Thursday afternoon to know their opponents after the two Group B final games were called off due to heavy downpour on Wednesday afternoon.

Laryea Kingston and his boys, however, know that they will be facing the Burkinabes in a make-or-break semi-final for a ticket to the final.

Burkina Faso registered a 1-0 win over Niger in the final clash in Group B to finish second after Nigeria managed a 3-0 win over Togo to top the group.

Nigeria topped the group with superior goal advantage to avoid Ghana in the semi-finals.

Ghana after topping Group A patiently waited for the outcome of the games in Group B to know their next opponents.

The Black Starlets will once again cross swords with Burkina Faso on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The two sides met at the same stage of the competition in 2022 in Cape Coast with Burkina Faso emerging winners to march to the final.

Laryea Kingston and his boys have been preparing for the all-important game which will also determine the side that will qualify for the Under-17 AFCON Tournament.
