The Black Stars beat premiership side, Eleven Wise on Tuesday as the team nears the end of their preparations for the African Nations Championship.
A lone goal scored by Yaw Antwi handed the national side a 1-0 win over the premiership campaigners at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.
Ghana’s team has been based the Western Region since Saturday preparing for the tournament which kicks off this weekend to be hosted by Ivory Coast.
Twenty-three players made squad from a tall list of 40 for the maiden Championship designed for locally-based players only.
Ghana has been paired with Zimbabwe, DR Congo and Libya in Group B for the African Nations Championship.
The Black Stars, seeded as the top side in Group B would be based in Bouake, the second largest Ivorian city.
Eight nations including the hosts, Ivory Coast would be competing for the maiden Championship.
The tournament kicks off from the 22nd February-8th March 2009.
