Ghana's national team, the Black Stars, will play Cape Verde in an international friendly match later this month.

The match will be played in the Portuguese capital Lisbon on Tuesday, 13 November.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations warm-up match will be played at the University of Lisbon Sports Stadium.

"We have arranged a friendly against Cape Verde as part of our intensive preparations for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations," GFA President Kwesi Nyantaky told www.ghanafa.org.

"Cape Verde showed the strength of their side by edging past giants Cameroon to qualify for the Nations Cup and this shows that they are a tough side.

"In many ways they are similar to our group opponents at the Africa Cup of Nations and we are happy that they have agreed to play us.

"We want to leave no stone unturned with adequate preparation for Africa's flagship football event to ensure success for the Black Stars."

Both countries have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations to be played in South Africa in January next year.

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group B with DR Congo, Mali and Niger.
