Black Stars players meet new backroom staff

Seventeen players trained today at the Accra Sports Stadium as Kwesi Appiah held his first training session as Black Stars coach.

Monday's training is the start of Ghana's preparations towards the 2014 World Cup qualifying against Lesotho on June 1 before the June 9 clash against African champions, Zambia.

Training started with the formal introduction of the players to the new members of the new members of the technical staff.

Kwesi Appiah was joined by the rest of his coaching staff Maxwell Konadu and goalkeeper's trainer Nasam Yakubu.

The players who trained on Monday are: Robert Dabuo, Ernest Sowah, Daniel Agyei, Daniel Opare, Samuel Inkoom, Isaac Vorsah, Jerry Akaminko, Rashid Sumiala, Daniel Addo, Richard Kissi-Boateng, Solomon Asante, Richard Mpong, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Derek Boateng, Ben Acheampong, Dominic Adiyiah and Emmanuel Clottey.

Training continues Tuesday afternoon.
