Ghana defender John Boye scored his debut goal for Stade Rennes in the quarter-final of the Coupe de France on Wednesday night.

Boye struck Rennes's second goal against ten-man Valenciennes as they finished 3-1 winners to advance to the semi-final in the competition.

The Ghanaian international joined Rennes from Kpando Heart of Lions in 2008.
