Buaben relishing Ghana debut

Ghana international, Prince Buaben has expressed his delight at his first senior team call-up.

The Dundee United midfielder was among the three newcomers called up into the Black Stars for the game against the Mexicans at the Craven Cottage in London on Wednesday.

Buaben, who has been impressive with his club, trained with the Black Stars for the first time on Monday and he is keen to make an impact.

“I am greatly honoured to be invited to play for my country and I have not been here for long and I am very impressed with my team-mates,” Buaben told KickOffGhana.com.

“I already know that playing in this squad will not be easy because of the quality of players in the squad.

“I am ready to work hard to get a place in the team and also achieve my childhood dreams of playing for my country.

“I know I am capable of succeeding here with the Black Stars and I am ready to work for it.”

Buaben, who turns 20 next month plays for Dundee United after joining the Scottish side from the Ajax Amsterdam at the beginning of the season.
