Milovan Rajevac seems to have a measure of the task ahead as he prepares Ghana for his debut African Nations Cup in Angola set to kick off on January 10.

Ghana, four-time winners are chasing a fifth with their last continental success coming some 28 years ago in Libya.

Strange to think that for a team which has seen their preparations derailed by injuries to key players, the Serbian is still optimistic that Ghana will lift the gloom of the past few days.

Rajevac has had to do without Stephen Appiah, John Mensah, John Paintsil and Laryea Kingston all ruled out due to injuries.

But the coach who has already secured Ghana a place at summer's 2010 World Cup finals is optimistic that he can become the first foreign coach of the Black Stars to win the trophy.

"I know that a foreigner is yet to win the competition and I want to become that first coach to deliver the title and it is possible," Rajevac said.

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group B of the CAN alongside Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo in an all-West African battle.
