Candy Soccer Academy, Supreme Ladies stay perfect in Women’s Regional Championship

Candy Soccer Academy and Supreme Ladies continued their fine form on Matchday 3 of the Women’s Regional Championship in Tamale, with both former Premier League sides maintaining 100% records.

The two teams picked up maximum points to end the day on 9 points each.

Dormaa Candy Soccer Academy defeated Nasara Ladies 2-1 in the opening game. Belinda Tabuah and Belinda Tuah struck within two minutes, in the 8th and 10th minutes, to give Candy Soccer Academy an early advantage. Ruhia Mohammed pulled one back for Nasara Ladies in the 53rd minute. The hosts pushed for an equaliser, but Candy Soccer Academy’s resolute defence held on for the win.

Also, Dakpemah Ladies recorded their second win, beating Bolga Sharp Arrows 4-0 to keep their top-flight hopes alive. Rahifatu Abdul Wahab broke the deadlock in the 41st minute to give Dakpemah a halftime lead. After the break, prolific striker Rashida Alidu netted a hat-trick to seal a 4-0 victory for the hosts.

Finally, Supreme Ladies showed their class with a 6-0 thrashing of Chiewia Ladies in the final game of Matchday 3. Ellen Nefaabon scored a brace, while Emmanuella Osei, Monica Afriyie, Charity Obenewaa and Augustina Osei all got on the scoresheet. The result leaves Chiewia Ladies with no points and no goals after three matches.

Matchday 4 returns on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
