With just a few weeks to the return of the second round of the Premier League, the medical departments of Clubs will get busy as they undertake a seminar on sports medicine.
The seminar set for Friday, January 24 at the Accra Stadium is targeting all medics and paramedics attached to football clubs and sporting associations.
According to the organizers, the National Sports Authority Medical Directorate and National Ambulance Service, the Sports/Emergency medicine seminar will discuss the topics below;
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid in sports
- Sudden collapse and sudden cardiac death; African statistics
- On-pitch and immediate management of the injured player
- Rehabilitation and return to sports/play
- Injury prevention
The organizers expects each Club and association to nominate at least two Medical Persons (Masseurs, Physiotherapists, Medical Doctor) to attend the seminar.
