Berekum Chelsea brought their Africa Champions League campaign to an end with final-day 1-0 win against TP Mazembe in Accra on Sunday.

A second half goal by Jordan Opoku in the 79th minute gave Chelsea the win in their last Group B fixture.

The former Ghanaian champions who were out of the running for a semi-final slot in their debut continental attempt before kick off in their last game, concluded the campaign with 9 points, one behind second-placed Mazembe, who finished on 10 points.

Mazembe and Egyptian side, Al Ahly advance to the semi-finals from Group B.

However, Chelsea, who made a great start in just their debut campaign, will now have to wait for a possible return to continental football in the next two seasons.

The Berekum side were dethroned as Ghanaian champions by Asante Kotoko last season and they also failed to lift the FA Cup.
