Berekum Chelsea face a nervous wait as they pin their semi-final hopes in the African Champions League on their remaining two games in Group B.

Hans Van der Plyum's side were held to a 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium by former champions, Al Ahly on Sunday.

Chelsea, now have five points but have been overtaken by TP Mazembe, who beat pointless Zamalek 2-1. Mazembe are on 7 points, thus two clear of Chelsea.

The Egyptians, who beat beat Chelsea in Cairo two weeks ago jumped into the lead through Oussou Konan Anicet just before half-time.

On a day when Chelsea's Ghana international, Emmanuel Clottey who leads scorer's chart with 12 Champions League goals, failed to find target, it was Jordan Opoku who came the Berekum side's rescue.

Opoku equalised shortly after the break when he volleyed home but missed chances denied either side all the three points.

The Ghanaian will be away to Zamalek in their penultimate group fixture next month in Cairo behind closed doors as a result of security concerns.

The top two clubs in each group advance to the semi-finals and the Chelsea coach believes his side can upset the form book in their debut competition.
