Club Licensing Department commence inspection of match venues

The Club Licensing Department of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday, August 8th 2024, begun the process of inspecting various facilities submitted by elite clubs for the licensing process ahead of the 2024/25season.

As part of the new requirements of the Club Licensing Regulations, all elite clubs were to provide a main venues, alternative venues, and a training facility.

The inspection which would conclude on August 21st, 2024 began with clubs in Zone 3; Eastern, Volta and the Greater Accra Regions.

The team led by Licensing Manager Esme Mends, Director of Competitions and GFA Stadium Inspector Julius Ben Emunah and a team of regional inspectors have already visited the Akim Oda Stadium, Koforidua Stadium, Kukrantumi, Kpando, Akosombo, Hohoe, Ho, Akatsi, Tema and venues in Accra.

The team will continue the inspection from Monday August 12th in the Northern Regions of Ghana and other parts of the Zone 1 area.

The Inspection Team would also take the opportunity to create an extra awareness and education through traditional media engagements on the new requirements and the importance of a club licensing regime in our football ecosystem.
