The Ghana Football Association's Extra-Ordinary Congress on Tuesday referred recommendations contained in the Club Licensing Regulations back to the Committee for further work.

The Executive Committee last year set up a Committee chaired by ex-Ex.Co member Jones Abu Alhassan to review the FIFA Club Licensing Regulations for adoption and implementation.

The Club Licensing Regulations are the basic working documents for member associations that incorporate the minimum requirements and guidelines for every criteria for compliance as a basis for the issuance of a license to any club.

According to the document, every club must fulfill requirements for a licence and these are divided into five categories (sporting, infrastructure, personnel and administrative, legal and financial), with each category being split into three grades A-C (mandatory and best-practice recommendation).

After deliberations, members by a majority decision, sixty-three percent, backed the referral of the document back to the Committee for it to work on the areas of categorization and standard practices and submit to the Executive Committee for approval before it is later sent to CAF and FIFA.
