The nationwide Black Starlets talent identification exercise will continue in the Brong Ahafo Region as coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his technical team intensify efforts to discover the next generation of players for Ghana's U-17 national team.

The two-day scouting programme will be held on June 24 and 25, 2026, at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman and the Nana Koromansah II Park in Nsuatre respectively. Activities at both venues will commence at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m.

The exercise forms part of the Association's nationwide search for talented young footballers ahead of the next Black Starlets cycle. Coach Mingle and his technical team will observe a series of matches and assessment games as they seek to identify players with the potential to represent Ghana at the youth international level.

The scouting programme is targeted at players born in 2010 and 2011. Young footballers within the age category are expected to take advantage of the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, talent and potential before the national team selectors.

Throughout the two days, the technical team will assess the players' technical ability, tactical awareness, physical attributes and overall football intelligence. Outstanding performers will be shortlisted for the next phase of the selection process.

Players selected from the regional screening exercise will earn places in a final screening programme to be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram at a later date. The final phase will provide the technical team with an opportunity to further evaluate the selected players before assembling the next Black Starlets squad.

The Brong Ahafo exercise follows successful scouting programmes in the Upper West, Upper East and Northern regions, underscoring the Association's commitment to identifying talent from every part of the country.

Coach Mingle and his technical team are tasked with building a competitive Black Starlets side for future international competitions, beginning with the 2026 WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship and the subsequent qualification campaigns for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA U-17 World Cup.
