D.C. rules and fines Sharp Arrows GHc 250

The Disciplinary Committee of the GFA has ruled that Kintampo Sharp Arrows forfeit their MTN Round of 64 match against Hearts of Oak.

This follows Sharp Arrows' failure to turn up for the match on the 30th January, 2012 at the Sunyani Coronation Park even though both teams attended the pre-match technical meeting at 11:00 a.m on the match day.

After a hearing which both teams attended on 23rd March 2012, the Disciplinary Committee in the circumstances holds as follows:

a) That Sharp Arrows shall forfeit the match and therefore Accra Hearts of Oak are hereby declared as winners of the match and thereby are credited with three ( 3) points and 3 goals. Refer to article 34(1)h and 34(3) of the Regulations.

b) That being FA Cup competition, Accra Hearts of Oak qualifies to play in the next round of the Competition. Sharp Arrows being the defaulting club shall pay a fine of GHc 250.00 of which 50% shall go to Accra Hearts of Oak. Refer to article 34(5)b of the Regulations

c) That having been declared winners, Accra Hearts of Oak will not be entitled for a reimbursement of the expenditure incurred for the match.
