Coach Kuuku Dadzie is aware he needs to control the emotions of his potential FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup debutants with Ghana on the brink of qualification.

The Black Princesses will play DR Congo on Friday at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra in the second leg of the final qualifying for passage to Germany 2010.

Ghana won the first leg clash in Kinshasa 2-0 and ahead of the return match, the Princesses coach admits he will need to control his side’s sentiments but he will do so with confidence.

“We won 2-0 in the first match and just after the game, we met with the team to try and drum it into them, the significance of the game in Accra.

“Aware that their emotions might get to them after that important result away, we had to talk and get rid of any traces of complacency. I know it (complacency) wouldn’t set in,” the former national team player told www.ghanafa.org after the team’s final training session on Thursday.

“It’s not over. We still have a tough game to play and when we are through, we can celebrate. But I am confident that we would qualify.”

Playing at home, Kuuku Dadzie knows that the pressure would be on his side to ensure victory as he goes into the game with a clean bill of health.

“That is to be expected. Whenever you are playing at home, there’s pressure but I think the Congolese would also be under pressure since we lead by two-nil.

“We have trained well and need to finish the qualification well. The commitment has been good and I am happy with the work put in by the team.

“After the first game, we picked up some injuries. Almost four of my players had injury problems. But the medical team has done a fantastic job by working hard to get everyone ready for the match,” he said.

Africa has two places at the competition to be hosted by Germany from July 13 to August 1, 2010.

The other qualifying place will be decided between Nigeria and South Africa this weekend.

Kick off is @ 15:00 GMT [3:00PM local time]
