Francis Dickoh is hoping to be full of confidence after an initial setback in Wednesday's friendly game with Zambia played in London.

Despite Ghana going on to win the five-goal thriller 4-1, Dickoh who played the entire game after over a year's absence from the squad admitted nerves had the better of him in the opening minutes of the match.

But he settled in and had a big part to play to help Ghana record the big win.

Dickoh is now sure of regaining his confidence in a Ghana shirt and says he will give himself every chance of making the Black Stars squad due to face Sudan in Accra in three weeks.

"I was nervous in the beginning," Dickoh said.

"But after the first forty-five minutes I got a really good pep talk from the rest of the guys and came through the second forty-five minutes without too much trouble."

"As to whether I did well that is entirely up for the coach to decide. I think that if I play well then I always have a chance.

"The Black Stars have still not qualify for the world cup so my aim is to give myself every chance of making the side that will play Sudan in Accra. And then I will see what the next year will bring."
