Asante Kotoko have made a bold appointment by entrusting the head coach role to Mas-ud Didi Dramani.

This will be his first coaching job in the Premier League since ending his playing career in 2001 with Real Tamale United and Ebusua Dwarfs.

Dramani, will assume the reins left by Maxwell Konadu, who left his role at Kotoko to become the assistant coach of the Black Stars after leading them to the Glo Premier League title in the past season.

But Dramani who will join the champions after guiding Ghana's women's U-17 team to October's 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup finals in Azerbaijan, says he will not be starting from scratch.

“My predecessor has taken the team to a certain level in terms of standard of play, player mentality and output on the field that made them league winners, so what I have to do is to maintain the level and use it as our minimum standard,” Dramani told the Kotoko Express, the club's newspaper.
