Deportivo took full advantage of Gold Stars’s profligacy. Emmanuel Gyan Kwame grabbed the match-winning goal in the 45th minute, courtesy of a defensive error.
The defeat did not hurt Gold Stars that much as second placed Skyy FC also failed to win at home to close the gap – keeping the former at the top of the Zone Two table with 47 points – with a six point advantage going into the next match.
The Bibiani lads take on Star Madrid at Dun’s Park on match day 22 on Wednesday – with Skyy FC heading to Bekwai to take on Proud United.
Emmanuel Adu Siaw scored for Samartex in their 1-0 win against New Edubiase United on Sunday. The Sameraboi side will host Achiken FC on match day 22.
