A goal from the spot helped AshantiGold win 2-1 against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Len Clay Stadium on Wednesday in the Premier League.

The Miners' lead striker, Mohammed Yakubu converted the 85th minute penalty that condemned Dwarfs to a second-straight defeat.

Dwarfs drew first blood when Francis Atuquaye scored in the 54th minutes but that lead was canceled by AshantiGold's Henri Traore 69th minute.

Both sides held on until the late goal separated matters, handing the Miners all three points.
